About the Artist

Ada A. Diaz

I’m a Honduran abstract artist currently based in Memphis, TN. From an early age, I developed a fascination for color and visual harmony. I would define my style as eclectic, bold, and playful. I’ve been painting and doodling for over 10 years now; however, it was not until my later 20s that I found my voice in the works of Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Franz Kline. Their works inspired me to focus on the process of art creation rather than the end result. I find inspiration in every day nature, and through the use of color I seek to evoke stories that can’t be told through words.

My most recent work focuses on acrylic paint to produce intricate patters inspired by the beautiful coral reefs of Roatan, Honduras.
